Jim Hearn Scholarship Awards In February 2013 The Jim Hearn Scholarship Fund was established. Named after one of our founding fathers and 1st President of WVAADC. Jim reached out and helped those in need on a regular basis, whether it was his clients or a colleague. WVAADC each year honors Jim by presenting scholarships with hopes of inspiring upcoming individuals in the treatment of addictions. This enables individuals to attend WVAADC sponsored events with little to no cost. These individuals are nominated by WVAADC members however they do not have to be a member. These individuals are either interested in or working in the field of addictions. We love to get newcomers to our events!
Scholarship Application
Scholarships are available to assist individuals who are financially unable to attend WVAADC events. Full scholarships cover registration and lodging costs. Partial scholarships cover registration costs. Any WVAADC member in good standing may submit nominations. Consideration will be given to individuals who are WVVAADC members obtaining certification or pursuing a degree in the addiction profession. All nominations should include the nominee’s name, address, phone number and an overview why this person would benefit from attending the 2020 WVAADC Conference.
