Vaping and Synthetic Nicotine

This session will provide a refresher on vaping basics and updates on the status of vaping technology. Attendees will learn about synthetic nicotine, why it is currently emerging, and its associated health concerns. Vaping as harm reduction will also be covered including the pros and cons of vaping in recovery, as well as resources to support becoming nicotine-free.
Become familiar with latest advances in vaping technology, including synthetic nicotine
Understand impact of vaping on health and recovery
Identify key tobacco cessation resources
Counselors, social workers, psychologists, nurses, peer recovery coaches, and others who work with those who vape.
This session is appropriate for all learning levels, beginner, intermediate & advanced.

Frankie is a West Virginia certified advanced addiction counselor, a certified clinical supervisor, and a certified tobacco treatment specialist.
